Clip Engine ("we", "us") is operated by an individual, independent developer acting as sole operator — there is no separate company entity. This policy explains what information Clip Engine collects when you use the service, why, and how you can control or delete it.
Clip Engine lets you paste a link to a podcast episode and generates short, publish-ready video clips from it. If you choose to, you can connect your TikTok and/or YouTube accounts so Clip Engine can publish generated clips directly to those platforms on your behalf.

avatar so the app can show which account is connected.
When you connect an account, Clip Engine requests exactly these scopes:
user.info.basic (Login Kit —
display name and avatar), video.upload (upload a generated
clip as a draft to your TikTok account) and video.publish
(publish a generated clip directly to your TikTok account, only when
you explicitly choose to publish).
youtube.upload (upload a
generated clip as a YouTube Short to your channel, only when you
explicitly choose to publish).
Clip Engine never posts, uploads or publishes anything without an explicit action from you in the app.
Clip Engine's use and transfer to any other app of information received
from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube data obtained through
the youtube.upload scope is used solely to publish the clips
you generate and choose to upload to your own YouTube channel — it is
never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to train
generalized AI/ML models.
Stored tokens and profile data are used only to: authenticate your connected accounts, display connection status in the app, and upload or publish clips at your explicit request. Source episodes and generated clips are used only to produce and let you review your clips.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except: (a) the platform APIs themselves (TikTok, YouTube) as required to perform the upload/publish actions you request, and (b) infrastructure subprocessors strictly necessary to run the service (e.g. cloud hosting and storage), who do not have independent rights to use your data.
You can revoke Clip Engine's access to your TikTok or YouTube account at any time from that platform's own app-permissions settings; this immediately invalidates the stored tokens. You may also request deletion of your account data (connection tokens, source episodes, and generated clips) at any time by emailing the contact address below — requests are processed within 30 days. Generated clips and source references not covered by an explicit deletion request are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service.
OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to stored data is limited to what the service needs to operate.
Clip Engine is not directed at children and is not knowingly used by anyone under 13.
If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of Clip Engine after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
